I’ll be the first to admit that the methodology I use to rate things, and subsequently review them, can vary from day to day. My mood at the time of the experience undoubtedly drastically affects how I feel about the material. Which is why I’m not a professional at this.
I try to review from an honest perspective. I’m not a huge fan of professional reviews of things, it always feels like such posturing, so I like to give a more “normal person” feel to things if I can. I write how I talk…okay, maybe minus all the swear words in my head.
My reviews are rarely a summary of the topic. I figure you can Google in two seconds and find a half dozen summaries of whatever you are looking for. I instead just give my opinion, hopefully something more unique than what you can read on the back of the cover of your book or DVD.
